We began with an assessment of the municipal pool and training pool. We determined we were able to pressure test the training pool and perform an inspection of the municipal pool plumbing and structure.
We tested the MD/Skimmer Line and Return Line of the training pool. Both lines held pressure without loss.
We performed a visual inspection of the municipal pool return line. We found 10 of the 22 returns were broken.
We cut out a section of pipe for the return line in the equipment room to perform a video inspection of the line under concrete on our next visit.
We will have an affiliate company out to remove two flanges in the municipal pool surge tank in order to complete the testing.
Notes for the Municipal Pool:
We found the structure of the pool has a multitude of cracks that will need to be sealed.
The coating of the pool will have to be redone in order to hold water properly.
The joints of the pool structure will need to be sealed.
The return line will need multiple repairs in the scum gutter or can be replaced.
All return jet eyes and plates will need to be replaced.
Most of the plumbing in the equipment room will need to be replaced.

ALDBoise Findings:
We began with a pressure test of the municipal pool main drain. We tested the line at 4 psi three times. Each time we noted an approximate 1 psi drop over 10 minutes. The line has an indication of a small leak.
We performed a video inspection of the return line, scum gutter equalizer line, and main drain line using a camera. We did not observe any significant breaks in the line. We noted an opening in the scum gutter equalizer line that we are not able to identify its purpose. We noted a potential issue in the east main drain line near the elbow.
We pulled a light off and found the light conduit was not sealed. The light conduits will need to be sealed whether they are replaced or not.
We recommend line replacements for the municipal pool main drain. It may be beneficial to replace all lines under the concrete area if the main drain line is replaced.
We inspected the scum gutter on the perimeter of the pool. We found a number of areas that have cracks in the pool side concrete wall. We would recommend these cracks be sealed.
We noted both main drains had old hydrostatic valves present. We recommend replacing both hydrostatic valves.
Please contact us with any questions concerning this inspection and recommendations.
